In partnership with parents and the greater community, the mission of Euro Academy is to provide an exemplary early childhood education program and to cultivate joyful, healthy, creative, compassionate, and independent children who build a well-balanced world for themselves and for others.
We believe that children are strong, powerful, and rich in potential, competent protagonists of the learning process driven by the power of a strong desire to learn and grow. We believe that children construct knowledge through active play, exploration, experimentation, rich experiences and modeling as well as through meaningful relationships with peers, teachers and most importantly you, parents! Lastly, we believe that a holistic approach not only identifies the strong bond between all developmental domains, but also recognizes that everybody involved is part of the learning process.

Jana believes that young children learn best through hands-on experiences and play and that creativity, imagination, and exploration are critically important in young children’s lives. Her conviction stems from being influenced by the world’s renowned Reggio Emilia Approach, which she had a chance to observe and practice while living in Italy for several years. Jana finds tremendous joy in watching young children explore, investigate, learn and grow.
As a lifelong educator, Jana’s experience in the field of education is extensive, ranging from being a special education teacher (Pine-Richland School District) to a head preschool teacher/supervisor. Jana holds two Master’s Degrees in Education: one from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and one from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Jana also attended California University of Pennsylvania (post-master’s studies) and holds a Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education as well as in Nursery/Kindergarten. She strives to continue growing personally and professionally in the field of education.
